That’s why we developed the SPACE model. A practical, step-by-step methodology that helps schools close that gap. Unlike traditional design approaches, SPACE doesn’t start with furniture or floorplans. It offers a practical tool that puts data, evidence and PEOPLE at the heart of space transformation, turning education spaces into catalysts for growth and ambition.”

SPACE Journey
By guiding you through five clear stages — See the Reality, Set the Ambition, Understand your Culture, Shape the Experience, and Set a Pathway for Progress — SPACE ensures that your estates strategy is rooted in evidence, aligned to your vision, and capable of adapting as education continues to change.
Discovery
Before making any changes, we go and see. Discovery is about getting under the skin of your school — how your spaces are used where they struggle to shine, and what’s possible. It’s a deep dive into needs, challenges, and ambitions, ensuring every decision is rooted in real feedback and insights.
Co-Creation
Great spaces aren’t designed in isolation. In the Co-Creation phase, we work with you — leaders, educators, students — to shape solutions that work in practice, not just on paper. Through workshops, prototypes, and testing, we refine ideas into a plan that delivers real impact.
Delivery
Vision meets reality. In the Delivery phase, we turn plans into tangible, transformative learning spaces. Every detail is considered, every decision made with purpose. The result? Environments that don't just look good but actively support teaching, learning, and progress.
Co-creation workshops & questionnaires
Our Co-Creation Workshops bring together students, staff and school leaders to reimagine learning environments — ensuring every voice can inspire change. Through guided discussion and creative activities, we uncover what works, what doesn’t, and what’s needed to support teaching, learning and well-being.
To broaden insight, our Student and Staff Surveys capture how spaces are used, how they feel, and where improvements matter most. Together, workshop feedback and survey data create a clear, evidence-based picture of your school — forming the foundation for design decisions shaped by the people who use these spaces every day.
SPACE Portal
The SPACE Portal is your digital companion throughout the journey, giving school leaders and stakeholders one easy hub to track progress and stay connected. It includes:

- Centralised resources like workshop summaries and design concepts
- Data-driven insights from student and staff surveys
