ISBA Estates and H&S Conference
It was a pleasure meeting so many familiar and new faces at the Independent Schools’ Bursars Association Estates and Health & Safety Conference.
It was encouraging to see so much ambition across the sector, with estates teams moving forward on some impressive projects. Many estates teams spoke of moving forward with renewed confidence in their plans after recent challenges, whether that’s converting existing buildings or planning how best to use newly acquired spaces.
Alongside the big projects, we heard about the everyday spaces, like labs and washrooms, that students use daily.
It was a valuable day of updates and fresh ideas, and a chance to talk with operations directors and estates managers about their future projects and how our SPACE model can help them prioritise the spaces students use every day.
Here’s what Fraser Thompson, Client Relations Manager at Pinnacle, had to say about the event:
“A brilliant day at ISBA Estates in London. It was good to reconnect with people we know well and to meet lots of new faces. The ambition across the sector is genuinely exciting, and there are some fantastic projects underway.
The theme estates teams mentioned most was that they are looking to make more efficient and innovative use of spaces to support pupils in exceeding their expectations, whether converting existing buildings or planning out the uses of newly acquired spaces.”
